A little something different for your morning bagel or for the breakfast buffet table. Good on toasted bagels or even as a dip for crackers.
Ingredients:
1 8-oz. package cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp honey
1/3 cup milk or heavy cream
1 apple, peeled, cored and finely chopped
3/4 cup dates, finely chopped
1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. allspice or cinnamon
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, blend cream cheese, honey and milk until combined.
2. Fold in apples, dates, nuts and spice.
3. Cover and refrigerate about 30 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
4. Serve on toasted bagels or as a dip for graham crackers, apple wedges or whatever you like! Compliments many quick/nut bread recipes, too.
