Apple Crisp With Peanut Brittle Crust

A great casserole dish, that is great for potlucks, or a dessert.
Ingredients:
8 granny smith apples, peeled, and quartered
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
4 ounces unsalted butter, chilled, and cut into small cubes
1/2 cup peanut brittle, chopped
1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Rub butter to coat bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
3. In a large bowl, mix all the filling ingredients, toss to coat the apples, and pour into the baking dish.
4. In another large bowl, combine all the topping ingredients except for the ice cream, and mix well.
5. Using both hands, mix topping ingredients in the bowl together until the mixture forms small lumps.
6. Sprinkle this mixture over the apple filling , and bake in a preheated ovenfor 50 minutes.
7. Let cool 15 minutes.
8. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
