Ingredients:
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, divided
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or stick margarine, cut into small pieces
7 cups sliced, peeled golden delicious apple (about 6 large apples)
1/4 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
cooking spray
Directions:
1. Combine flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a small bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
2. Combine apple, cranberries, ginger, and remaining 1 tablespoon granulated sugar in a large bowl; stir gently. Spoon fruit mixture into an 8-inch square pan coated with cooking spray, and sprinkle with crumb mixture. Bake at 400° for 35 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.
