Better make 2 or 3 as these disappear faster than you can make them
Ingredients:
3 eggs
1 cup milk or heavy cream
6 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbsp butter
4 tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp sugar
2-3 tbsp brandy
ground cinnamon
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400
2. For the batter
3. In blender add eggs, milk, butter, vanilla, flour, *sugar and salt and blend until smooth
4. Set aside
5. Generously butter a 10 pie plate
6. Set in oven to heat
7. For apples
8. Melt butter in large skillet over medium high heat
9. Add apples, 1/2 cup sugar and brandy
10. Cook until apples are glazed and heated through (about 5 minutes)
11. Remove pie plate from oven
12. Immediately pour in half of batter
13. Arrange warm apples slices over batter
14. Reserve juices
15. Pour remaining batter over apples
16. Sprinkle with remaining 2 tsp sugar and cinnamon
17. Set in middle of oven
18. Bake until clafouti is golden and set in middle (about 25-30 minutes)
19. Drizzle with warmed reserved pan juices
