Apple Cider Pound Cake

Ingredients:
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup apple cider
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Combine butter and shortening, mixing well; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
2. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with apple cider, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
3. Pour batter into a well greased 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 50 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes; remove cake from pan, and let cool completely.
