Apple Camembert Spinach Salad

I fell in love with Waldorf salad when I was a kid and since then have loved salads with fruits and nuts in them, especially apples. This is one I've found along the way.
Ingredients:
2 apples, cut into 1/2 inch wedges (i like granny smith)
2 tbls. maple syrup
4 cups fresh spinach
4 oz. camembert cheese (or brie), cubed
1/4 cup pecan halves, toasted
dressing
2 tbls. apple cider or juice
2 tbls. canola oil
1 1/2 tbls. cider vinegar
1/2 tsp. dijon mustard
1/2 clove garlic, finely chopped
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to broil
2. Put apples on baking sheet and brush with maple syrup
3. Broil at least 4 inches from heat for 3 minutes
4. Flip and brush with remaining syrup
5. Broil 3-5 minutes or until crisp tender
6. In salad bowl, combine spinach, cheese, pecans and apples
7. In saucepan, add dressing ingredients
8. Bring to boil
9. Pour over salad and serve immediately
