My mom taught me how to make these moist, tasty muffins. I love to make them in the fall with crisp, in-season apples. —Kelly Kirby, Westville, Nova Scotia

1/2 cup king arthur unbleached all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/3 cup 2% milk
1 egg
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-bran
2/3 cup shredded peeled tart apple
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
1/3 cup raisins
