Ingredients:
apple bran muffins
1 cup all puupose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup natural bran
1/3 cup brown sugar 1 used 1/2 cup splenda brown sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup applesauce
2 tbsp canola oil
1 large egg
1/2 cup 1% buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp maple flavoring
1/4 cup finely chopped dates
1 cup dicced apples
Directions:
1. Stir first 6 ingredients together in large bowl, make a well in the center
2. Whisk applesauce ,oil, egg, buttermilk,vanilla and maple flavoring together in small bowl. stir in dates . Pour into well of dry ingredients . Stir just untill moistened . Makes 12 muffins. bake 375 20 minutes .
