Healthy Apple Bran Muffins, Can substitute Whole Wheat Flour and fruit
Ingredients:
1 1/2 c. bran flakes
1 1/2 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t. baking soda
1 c. low fat milk
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
1 c. chopped apples
Directions:
1. Spray muffin tins with non stick spray, preheat over to 400 degrees
2. In a large bowl mix together bran flakes, flour, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside
3. In another bowl mix together milk, honey, brown sugar, egg, applesauce. Beat well
4. Mix together bran and milk mixture. Stir in Apples. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full
5. Bake for 18-20 minutes
