Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 (15 oz) cans pork and beans (or boston baked & beans)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 5 slices bacon

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F Coat a 1 1/2-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the bacon and mix well.
  3. Pour into the baking dish and lay the raw strips of bacon on top (I cut the bacon into pieces so it will mix in nicely later).
  4. Cover and bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until thick and bubbly.
  5. Uncover and bake for 5 more minutes.
