Ingredients:
1 cup wholemeal self-rising flour
1/2 cup oats
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 teaspoon allspice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup pecans
1/3 cup oil
1 egg (55g, lightly beaten)
2 apples (peeled, cored and chopped)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius.
2. Lightly grease and line a 20cm cake tin and line with baking paper.
3. In a bowl combine the flour, oats, bicarbonate of soda, allspice, sugar and pecans.
4. Make a well in the centre and then add the oil and egg and then the apples and combine all ingredients well together.
5. Pour mix into the prepared tin and cook for 35 minutes until golden brown.
