Anne's Pasta Salad (Made Lighter)

My Aunt Anne makes the absolute best macaroni salad. It is a must for all family functions. I've taken her recipe and lightened it for a more healthy diet.
Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) box macaroni (cooked, drained and cooled)
2 cups 2% cheddar cheese
1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
1 cup cucumber (diced)
2 shallots (sliced)
1 cup light mayonnaise (i used fat-free)
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
1. Mix vegetables and cheese with macaroni.
2. Mix mayo, sugar, vinegar and black pepper.
3. Mix dressing with macaroni.
4. Allow to sit in fridge for about 30 minutes. This gets better the longer it sits.
5. Enjoy.
