This recipe came from Anna one of my co-workers from ARC. By popular demand she would make these for our Christmas potluck lunches. They are my all time favorite homemade lumpia. She never really measures anything so she would add everything and then take a teaspoonful of the meat, cook it in a frypan and then adjust the flavor from there.
Ingredients:
2 lbs ground pork
1 dash salt, to taste
1 dash garlic salt, to taste
1 dash garlic, minced, to taste
1 dash soy sauce, to taste
1 large egg, may need a second to get texure right
1 medium carrot, finely shredded
1/2 medium onion, finely diced
wonton wrapper
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients to taste. It should be the texture of meatloaf. Using tip above, cook a bit and then adjust for flavor.
2. Place teaspoonful on the wonton wrapper and roll according to package directions.
3. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
4. This mixture may also be used to fill wontons for soup.
