Annabelles Awful Waffle

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of heavy cream whipped
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1/2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of melted butter
  • 6 slices of bacon cut in half

Directions:

  1. Beat egg whites until very stiff.
  2. Beat egg yolks until thick and pale.
  3. Sift the dry ingredients twice and add into beaten yolks.
  4. Fold in the whipped cream and then the egg whites.
  5. Fold in melted butter very lightly.
  6. Cook a slice of bacon in the waffle maker for a minute or two render the fat and cook the bacon.
  7. Top with waffle batter and bake in the hot waffle maker until brown and crispy.
  8. Serve with warmed syrup, maple or blueberry.
