Anissabo (Pea Soup -- Cree Style)

The Cree are the largest group of First Nations in Canada, living in the plains and east to Hudson Bay.
Ingredients:
2 cups dried peas, soaked
1 cup celery leaves
salt
pepper
savory
20 ounces hominy
Directions:
1. Put all ingredients in a large pot with the seasonings.
2. Simmer until the peas are tender but stil firm.
3. Add the hominy & cook till thickened.
4. Serve hot.
