A moist, fluffy cake that can be used any time
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups flour
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups egg whites
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Directions:
1. Beat egg whites on highest setting until they form still peaks.
2. Add cream of tartar, vanilla, and almond extract.
3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt.
4. Gradually add flour mix to egg white mix, beating well.
5. Pour into an ungreased 10 inch tube pan.
6. Place cake pan in oven while its off. set it to 325F.
7. Cook for 1 hour (including preheat time) until golden brown.
8. Turn upside down on a plate.
9. When completely cooled, extract with a spatula.
