Amish Cucumber Salad

Ingredients:
2 cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced crosswise
1 small red onion, sliced thinly
2 tbls. sugar
4 tbls. apple cider vinegar
2 tbls. mayonnaise ( i have also substituted sour cream)
Directions:
1. Place cucumbers in a strainer and let sit for an hour or so
2. Mix sugar, vinegar, and mayo together
3. Put cucumbers and onions in bowl
4. Add dressing and blend
5. Chill
