Ingredients:

  • 3 medium apples
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 3/8 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. This recipe was cut in half to make the servings to about 4 rather than 8-9 so just multiply everything by two if you want to make more, or the original recipe.
  2. Oven 375 degrees.
  3. Oil, lightly, a 4 inch square glass dish, you can also use a pie plate or whatever you choose to bake it in
  4. Get a large bowl. Toss apple slices together with the rasins, which can be substituted for cranberries, maple syrup, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  5. Spread Evenly in the baking dish. This is going to be your filling.
  6. Now, start to prepare the topping.
  7. Mix the oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt together. Add the melted butter and stir until it becomes evenly moistened.
  8. Sprinkle evenly over the fruit.
  9. Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes, or until fruit is tender.
  10. Add icecream or whipped cream if desired.
