An Indian potato and pea dish.
Ingredients:
5 tablespoons oil
1 medium onion
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
3 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon garam masala
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
2 tomatoes, quartered
2 diced potatoes
1 cup peas
2 teaspoons salt, to your liking (or more)
1 cup water
1 cup coriander leaves
Directions:
1. Heat oil in the pan, and add the onions in along with the ginger garlic paste. Cook for 1 minute
2. Add in the cloves, cinnamon stick, and bay leaves. Sauté for 2 minutes Add the garam masala, chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, tomatoes and salt.
3. Add in your diced potatoes, and peas. Mix and pour in 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
4. Serve with Indian flatbread or rice.
