• 2 pounds ground beef |
• 1 can (29 ounce size) tomato sauce |
• 5 cans (15 ounce size) kidney beans w/liquid |
• 1 can (29 ounce size) pinto beans w/liquid |
• 1 medium onion, diced |
• 2 green chili, diced ( i used i can of diced chiles) |
• 1 rib celery, diced |
• 3 medium tomatoes, chopped (no salt tomatoes in the can work well if totally ripe tomatoes are not in season.) |
• i added 1 can and the 3 tomatoes |
• 2 teaspoons cumin powder |
• 3 tablespoons chili powder |
• 1 tablespoon granulated garlic |
• 1 1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
• 2 teaspoons salt (i did not add salt. these is so much in the beans, add some to the bowl if you need it.) |
• 2 cups water (i did not add any water, the liquid from the cans was sufficient and took a while to boil down.) |
