Received from another Feingold Mom ( ) these bars fit the bill for good, clean eating! Make sure to use acceptable ingredients if following Feingold. The flavor combinations are endless!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup of your favorite jam
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Mix all of the above ingredients except the jam into a crumbled texture.
3. Divide in two portions. Pat half into an 8 x 8 pan.
4. Top with your choice of jam or jelly.
5. Crumble the remaining dough over jam evenly.
6. Bake for about 30 - 35 minutes until light brown.
7. Cool completely and cut into squares.
