Almond Wreath Cookies

Pretty and delicate little Christmas delights! If you like jam cookies, sandwich 2 cookies between jam and sprinkle with icing. Decorate as you wish.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 c chopped almonds
1 1/3 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 c butter, room temp
1 c white sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp almond extract
1 c icing sugar
milk
1/4 c sliced almonds
colourful sprinkles
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar and add 1 tsp each of vanilla and almond extract.
2. Stir in flour, chopped almonds and salt.
3. Wrap in saran and chill dough for 1 hour.
4. Preheat oven at 325 degrees.
5. Roll dough and cut with your favourite cutter. I use a wreath shaped one.
6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Do not over cook.
7. Cool on a rack.
8. Mix icing sugar, milk, remaining almond and vanilla extracts for form a glaze.
9. Brush over warm cookies and decorate with almond slices and sprinkles.
