Almond Butterscotch Bars

This is a neighborhood pass along recipe that offers a nice blend of flavors between the dough and the chips and nuts and is a bar that is less chewy and more toward the crisp side.
Ingredients:
1 cup butter (softened)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup slivered almonds
Directions:
1. Cream Butter and brown sugar. Add extracts and salt. Gradually add flour, Press into ungreased 10 x 15 jelly roll pan. Sprinkle butterscotch chips and almonds over dough and press lightly. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Cool and cut. Adjust pan size and cooking time if you prefer a more chewy cookie.
