This receipe is a combo of different recipes my fiance and I found online, with a little of our own ideas! People always ask us to bring this to parties. The lack of seeds is what makes this salsa mild, the flavor is awesome without the hot effects! Great for people who like tasty but not hot salsa!
Ingredients:
4 roma tomatoes
1/2 red onion, chopped
4 jalapenos, finely chopped (stems and seeds removed)
1/2 hot pepper, finley chopped (seeds removed)
1/2 habanero pepper, finely chopped (seeds removed)
2 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon green chili (canned, no seeds)
20 leaves cilantro
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Combine tomatoes, red onion, garlic cloves, tomato sauce, oil, vinegar, cilantro, lemon juice, lime juice into a blender and puree.
2. Pour into a medium sauce pan and put over low heat, adding jalapenos, hot pepper, and habinero. Stirring occasionally, bring to a rapid boil.
3. Before removing from heat, add salt, stir good.
4. Put in a sealed container and refrigerate for a few hours then enjoy.
