Bread to begin the night before.
Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups raisins
2 cups hot water
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoon soda
mix the raisins,hot water,butter,and soda
cover and let stand overnight.
2 cups sugar
2 eggs,well beaten
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
1. The Next Morning,add the Raisin mixture to the above ingredients.
2. Pour into 3 greased and floured 1-pound coffee cans,filling each
3. 1/2 full.
4. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 Hour
5. Begin preparations the night before you plan to bake this bread.
