Got this from my mother....easy to put together and quite tasty. Sometimes I'll add a can of corn, or whatever leftover cooked veggies in my fridge during the last hour of cooking.
Ingredients:
2 lbs beef stew meat
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoons tapioca
3 -4 medium potatoes, diced
1 onion, chopped
1 cup celery, diced
2 cups carrots, chopped
1 cup tomato juice
1 slice of crumbled bread
Directions:
1. Mix in crockpot.
2. cook 8 hours on low.
