For anyone who LOVES HOT FOOD!! i personally have to reduce the cayenne pepper to 1/8 tsp. It's also a great potato topper so you dont have to waste your calories on butter.
Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef, chicken or turkey breast
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 green pepper, seeded and chopped
14 oz pinto beans, drained
28 oz diced tomatoes
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef in a non-stick dutch over or a large pot along with onion, garlic and green pepper over medium heat until beef is fully cooked. Drain of any excess oil. Add spices and beans. Stir together for 1 minute. Add tomatoes and bring to a boil. lower heat and simmer on low for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
