This is a good sauce for pasta! Recipe is from Woman's Day. Plan ahead: Use half the sauce for 1 lb pasta, then refrigerate the rest up to 1 week, or freeze.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a saucepan.
2. Add onions and garlic; cook 4 minutes.
3. Stir in remaining ingredients.
4. Simmer, uncovered, 6 minutes.
