Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add and beat in eggs one at a time until well blended.
  3. Blend and beat in the sifted flour, baking powder and salt alternately with the milk into creamed mixture until well blended.
  4. Blend in vanilla.
  5. Pour batter into a well greased and floured tube or bundt pan.
  6. Bake in a preheated 350F oven until tested done;
  7. About 50 to 60 minutes.
  8. Cool in pan 15 minutes and remove to rack to cool.
  9. Variations: bake in a 9 x 13 pan or 2, 9 inch cake pans ( photo ), baking time will differ
  10. Frost and fill cake as desired, this cake was frosted and filled with a basic buttercream
